Methods for achieving and measuring soil compaction
compaction methods are needed for different types of soils and the amount of compaction re q u i r ed for dif-f e r ent soils must be established using standard testing p ro c e d u re s. Measuring compaction To find out how well a soil has been compacted we must measure the dry unit weight or dry density in pounds per cubic foot.

Benchmarking Apache Cassandra (40 Nodes) vs ScyllaDB (4 Nodes)
Since ScyllaDB's architecture takes full advantage of extremely large nodes, we compared a setup of four i3.metal machines (288 vCPUs in total) vs. 40 i3.4xlarge Cassandra machines (640 vCPUs in total, almost 2.5 times ScyllaDB's resources). In terms of CPU count, RAM volume or cluster topology, this would appear to be an apples-to-oranges ...

Raspbian now has an experimental 64-bit kernel available. I have seen successful compaction on my RPI 4 (4 GB RAM) since switching to that kernel. Technically the 64-bit kernel works on the 3 series too, but I would probably suggest upgrading to a RPI 4 for the extra memory, as it's more likely to sustain larger databases in the long run.

Soil compaction - Wikipedia
In geotechnical engineering, soil compaction is the process in which stress applied to a soil causes densification as air is displaced from the pores between the soil grains. When stress is applied that causes densification due to water (or other liquid) being displaced from between the soil grains, then consolidation, not compaction, has occurred.. Normally, compaction is the …
